Kindertown Booth Application - Kid Friendly/Related Items ***ONLY 2 SPACES LEFT***

Thanks to an adorable 9-Year-Old with XOX Charm Creations, we are now accepting applications from KID VENDORS! Kids ages 8-14 can apply for a booth space in Kindertown to sell their craft, but their items must be 100% handmade. Kid vendors must have a parent or guardian complete their application with them, and a parent or guardian must be present at the vendor booth throughout the festival. The following are our Kid Vendor requirements and expectations:

• Kid Vendors are only allowed in the Kindertown Lot.
• Only 5 spaces are allotted to Kid Vendors in Kindertown.
• Kids ages 8-14 qualify as Kid Vendors.
• Kid Vendors are not allowed to sell resale items (flea market items). Kid vendors are expected to sell items that are 100% handmade, by them.
• Remember, Oktoberfest is a 10am-5pm event, and vendors are expected to remain at the festival for the full festival time (within reason).

*100% Handmade Definition:

Art or Crafts made by hand with special care and craftsmanship. Handmade items are designed and created by artists and craftsmen. Handmade items are to be of high-quality. Reselling items is not allowed in our arts & crafts category. Hand Assembled or Altered products will be allowed for sale in the arts & crafts category; however the judging committee has the right to exclude any products that do not meet the standard as judged.

    Admission
    The Newberry Oktoberfest is FREE. There is no charge for the live entertainment or the kids' activities!

    Parking and Directions
    There is plenty of free public parking around the festival area. Parking will not be allowed in closed street areas, and those who dismiss this rule will be towed by local law enforcement at the owner's expense. The City of Newberry is conveniently located 4 miles off I-26 at exit 76, between Columbia and Greenville/Spartanburg. If you want to chart your course, enter this address in your favorite online mapping site: 1109 Main Street, Newberry, SC 29108.

    Kindertown (Kids Zone)
    The Newberry Oktoberfest has plenty for the kids and family to do. Kindertown will feature vendors selling toys, children's clothes, and more, inflatable bounce houses and slides, train rides, Lowes kids craft area, Old Fashioned Ice Cream, and Kettle Corn! Kindertown is located in the County Courthouse parking lot and Astwood Park.

    Food Court
    Local and visiting restaurants and vendors provide German cuisine and American fare in our main food court around Community Hall. Snack vendors can be found near the Ritz Theater on upper Main Street, and in Kindertown. The popular German Beirgarten will be hosted in front of Community Hall- Those over 21 who wish to purchase and consume alcohol in the event area must have their ID checked and receive a wristband from one of our approved event vendors.

    Arts & Crafts Vendors
    Artists and Crafters will line Main and Boyce Streets with merchandise to delight shoppers of all ages. Kid Themed vendors can be found in Kindertown. Arts & Crafts and Kindertown Vendor Applications are available now, but space is limited.     Attractions
    Oktoberfest will feature a variety of attractions, from live music at our Rocktoberfest Stage in Memorial Park, to Liver Nips Cook-Off by the County Chamber of Commerce at Community Hall. Also be sure to check out the Classic Cars by Memorial Park, as well as the Grow Newberry Farmer's Market in Kindertown!

    Pets
    Service animals are allowed. For the safety of our event patrons we recommend that large dogs not be brought to the event. Due to the high volume of foot traffic we also recommend that small dogs are not brought to the event. We don't want them getting stepped on!There is currently not a ban on bringing dogs. If they are brought they should be leashed and muzzled as necessary, and owners are responsible for cleaning up dog waste.

    Special Traffic Information
    Due to the large number of vendors and event patrons street closures are necessary on October 4th from the hours of 4am until 6pm. Main Street will be closed between Holman and Nance Streets. College Street will be closed between Friend and Boyce Streets. Boyce Street will be closed between College and Nance Streets.
