Events Calendar

The 2013 Pork in the Park event will take place in downtown Newberry on Saturday, April 20th from 11:00am-3:30pm. This annual event will feature mouth-watering bbq from all across South Carolina. Also featured will be kids inflatables and activities, cloggers from the Griffin School of Dance and live music from the band Southern Smoke. In addition to the outdoor activities, free tours of the Newberry Opera House will be available from 10:30am until 4pm. Many new teams will make this annual competition better than ever. This year's event will also mark the return of the Chicken Category at Pork in the Park. Bring your family out to feast on some of the best barbecue in South Carolina.
